Helloooo from an Potential Baleno Buyer

Hi All,

Let me start by telling you guys that this one helluva forum/group of petrolheads right (or left) of the bay of bengal!

I first came to know of the group a week ago and joined it about 2 days back to get info on the Baleno, which I was favouring over the Accent GLE and Ikon EXI. My stand now stands right!! and the groups comments (thank you iceman) helped clear both my wife's and my doubts effectively.

I look forward to learn and contribute a lot more to the forum as time passes by....

Cheers
Vivek

Welcome islandman!

The Baleno is a fantastic choice. Make sure you pick it up at the right time (before the upgrade comes out) and at a steal of a price. I'm not sure whether there will be stocks of the current model when the new one comes out but why take chances?

Oops, My Info

Hi All,

I got so caught up on the Baleno that I missed submitting any info about myself ( I guess thats why they have a preview!)

I am a 28 year old S/w pro , taking my first steps into management. I have been working in bangalore for the last 3.5 years but have actually settled here since last November.

I am married (you could guess that one ehh!) to a wonderfull woman for the last 3 years and have a lovely boy of 8 months, who is a complete riot.

Thats it
Cheers

New Baleno Vs 2yr old baleno

Hi Guys,
What would you think would make better commen and economic sense buying a brand new baleno or a 2yr old baleno?

Also what would be the cost of a 2yr old car in Bangi or Bby or wherever for that matter?

Regards

Vivek

Baleno is a good car and a good package too!

Buying used car is some kind of gamble! If you know the seller and could trace him even after sale is made then go for it. Buying through used car dealers or so called Auto Consultants could be risky. You also might want to check Maruti's own 'True Value offerings' but I doubt how many Balenos are available in that scheme.

I also head that new Baleno is coming pretty soon. So you might get a good deal when Maruti delares become desparate to clear old Baleno stocks.

you can't really go wrong with a baleno , the only drawback is the looks , if you're comfortable with that then just go ahead and buy one .

Hi..
Am a new member to forum too...
In the management team of a software company...
Drive a Corsa currently..
Currently in Bangalore and have been here for close to 2 years now..
Interest - Formula 1 and cars in general..

Test drove the baleno recently...good car except for its looks..buy the LXI and do a makeover to your choice

I am also on the look out for a car in the 6 to 8 lakh segment..any suggestions

Don't like the look of the Baleno hence not in my list..

Currently considering the Accent Viva CRDi...but i am told Hyundai is doing a major makeover for the accent by early Jan 2006..

Would have waited for the Fabia, not sure if anybody knows when it is going to be launched..the dealer here doesn't seem to have a clue..i need to get my car by July..

Thanks

Hi All,
Thank you all for the welcome.

Never knew there was a new baleno on the horizon ( Is it going to be the new esteem kinda car i.e new bumpers, lights and other frills only or the NHC way i.e a total change of body shape and specs). Hope they keep it to the frills part only.

Delta, Have seen the new accent in a mall(US) late last october. Resembles a corolla. Browse to http://www.hyundaiaccent.com/ for further details.

Iceman, If you get to read this post I would request you to share some pics of your baleno.

To All those of you who are interested in a new baleno, Samurai (bhpian) has a lovely one too with matrix alloys and 195/60 yoko's.
Browse to http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/showth...7&page=4&pp=15 for some awesome pics.

Cheers
