Payne arrives!

Hi folks,

Its been a while coming but here I am on Team-BHP finally. Cars or rather automobiles happen to be one of my biggest hobbies in life and driving is something that I've always been fond of but never really got a chance to do for the past 4-5 years.

Me: I am D.Payne or D.Raw El Payne or the_royal_pain or simply Payne on most forums. Regulars on other "techie" forums would know me - greenhorn, and Chaos to name a few.

I am: a tech enthusiast by interest - computers, mobiles, cars, bikes, anything with electronics in it; an engineer turned manager by education (typical BE/MBA); a marketing guy by profession (in design!) and a designer/photographer by hobby.

Coordinates: Pune right now. Hyderabad most of my life. A lot of parts around India at sometime or the other thanks to my job.

I drive: A beat up old Indica V2 2001 DLS. Still running and well too, all at 60k+ kms! The only things that irritate me are the excessive noise, the ability to transform into a bullock cart once the a/c's turned on, the plasticky plasticky interiors....oh wait, there are a LOT of things that irritate me. :P

I hope to drive: Some damn good car in the near future. Pre-owned or new. Big buying decision coming up.

I am most likely to post: A lot of posts in the photography threads, answer a lot of non-auto queries (cameras/mobiles etc) and some auto queries as well and put in funny comments once in a while.
