Hello!

Hello all!

Came across this forum when searching for info on "hydrostatic lock" the net... Its nice to be a part of Team-BHP!

Ive got a Contessa Classic 1.8 that I have recently converted to Diesel.
I also have a Mahindra CJ 340 4WD (The older "Classic").

Cheers!

Welcome Ashley! You've got two of my favourite Indian cars.
I drive a Conti 1.8 myself. What made you convert your conti to diesel? Which engine are you using?
Cheers
Aditya

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Aditya,
the petrol engine was really smooth, powerful and good to drive... but a lil too expensive for bombay city driving...
I wanted to keep the conti and also be able to drive it in the city... I shortlisted the Toyota 2CT and the Isuzu 4FG1... As the Isuzu fitted on the same mountings and gearbox... it was the natural choice for me!

Revvhead, I'll start another post about hydrostatic locks... thats if I cant find any already going on here...

Cheers!
Ashley
