This is Subhasis a Computer Science Engg by profession and working in a MNC n Pune. Sincere thanks to moderators who have made me a part of this awesome community.

Own a Volkswagen Jetta 1987 LHD diesel giving an average of 20km/l in Pune. Use it daily to commute 25 kms 365 days a year

Holy ! have heard that Puine traffic is just what one needs to get a heart attack and you drive a LHD?

And how's the maintainence part etc? Where do you get it done?

Thats gotta be one of the very few Jettas in India. Are there any others around?

Hi Nitin,

You are correct. This car belonged to the wife of Indian Ambassador to Germany Mr Bansal. She was a professor in an University in Berlin.Still has the parking sticker of the University. It was imported to India in 1997 with the same German Plate and later registered in Haryana. Has body fitness till 2014.

On the mintainance part so far from 2003 I have only changed the brake pads and the brake booster. Still it has all the originals and the paint. Best part I liked that it used to start in single attempt in Delhi Cold. Great average and has never let me down in the middle of the road. Will post pics soon.
