Hello world!! Hello world!
Thus printed the first line of the my first program I successfully compiled ...oops I mean my first mail to TBHP.
Yep, yet another software professional on board.
For the first 32 years of my life, never felt the need to OWN a car. The autorikshaws, and the friendly taxi walas going for 900 bucks for 8 hrs or on meter charges were more than sufficient.
My PJ on why I do not need a car had always been - I already have one - it comes to my place to pick up and drop, is chauffeur driven and I even give a ride to 20 other friends of mine and thus doing my bit to reduce the traffic and pollution; not to mention the quick nap I catch since someone is driving.
All along the reasoning by friends & family was falling to deaf ears.
But somewhere the one thing blocking me from buying was the fear of unknown, being one of the over cautious kind, wasn't willing to make my mistakes and then learn.
Here I was feeling proud of working on Linux, Android and other open source projects to free the world from evil grip of Macro$ofty in a virtual world. Then I stumbled upon TBHP during Oct 2008 and realized what a wonderful treasure I had found. This was the real world equivalent of the hacker(not cracker!) community of car gurus nurturing newbies to understand and appreciate this wonderful machine.
Already a big fan of TBHP and frequent the site at least twice a day for more gyan.
Besides cars, am your regular geek interested & working on developing/hacking and deploying phones based on open source & android.
Been in Bangalore most of my professional career, shifted to Hyderabad 1+ years ago.
Am planning to buy a Indigo CS this Diwali.
That’s pretty much about me for now.
cheers,
