Hi Manx

Welcome Aboard. Ok, here's what you could do to your car. Look around for an Alto LX cam for your car. It should provide you with some better performance. For braking systems, look for Zen brakes, and i am talking the whole unit of discs at front and drums at the rear. The current Zen runs on 12 inchers like your 800, so i think it should be a near-perfect fit.

Try and contact Dominic on this messageboard and PM him about your requirements. His work is first rate and knows the cars inside out. I can personally vouch for his work after sampling the Zen he has done up.

Hey Manx,

Welcome.
Shaving the head will increase the compression ratio, so your car will become more sensitive to the quality of fuel.
Porting and polishing - go for it. you will see a noticeable difference.
And a less major way to improve your braking system would be to see if any better quality pads/shoes are available for your car.....

@manek, nice to have you back on the forum man.

@NY2Kochi, manek is a chennai tbhp-ian. Was active on the forum previously, but away during the recent past (though he would always make it to the chennai tbhp meets). Now he is back on the forum.
