Binu from Bangalore

Dear BHPians,

I am extremely happy to be a part of this team and I am sure I’ll be able to suggest/advice/comment on the issues/questions/clarifications people depending on this forum have.

Team-BHP has been my home page for quite some time now. And every day has been a new learning… and this still continues

Happy motoring,
Binu Balan

Hi Binu

It would be nice if you could post a longer and detailed introduction about yourself. We would love to know what you do, what car you drive etc..

Take a stop at the Rules to understand the working of the forum. Welcome aboard.

Thank you for the warm welcome BHPians

Well, I thought this introduction had no significance and will just add on to the others J

Okay – How and where do I start from ?? Always been crazy about vehicles… mostly cars.. probably the first time I ever drove one was, when I was about 10 years old… a family friend had bought a new Tempo (LMV) and he had got it home and parked it with the keys on :P . Every time someone came home with a four wheeler I’d sit on the driver seat and enact driving… changing gears spinning the steering, honking and so on .My steady co-driver would be my lil sister who is four years younger to me.. what a combo isn’t it ??

I Dream… Dream BIG time J and it was always a dream to own a car… and I did at the age of 24 my first car, Esteem VXI .My Dad owned an old Fiat Premier Padmini.. the second one I bought was a Diesel Ford Escort Orion… wooh what a well built car it was… we are alive ! of course with broken bones and ribs after a crash at the speed of 120 Kmph. + . Now a proud owner of a Baleno Lxi…

I have had the privilege of driving vivid vehicles.. from the Jonga’s , gypsy’s, 1 Ton’s and Shaktiman’s to Heavy vehicles like Scania (automatic) Kraz, Tatra and also a (Schilka) a Russian tank ;-) through the most difficult terrains during my 7 year stint in the Indian Army. The latest was the Ferrari F430 spider and the Coupe in Marenello (Italy) the birth place of Ferrari .

Travelled to almost 15 states in India and 10 countries…

I hope this give you all a fair understanding of who and what I am...

Amazing!

It is an honour to be in Indian Army. And now it seems even more coveted, after reading your profile. Your hands on experience with arid to avid vehicles will surely enrich the automotive fraternity at Team-BHP.
