Joining Team BHP at the right time

Hello Team BHPians,

This is Gokul, and belong to Coimbatore, presently live in Chennai and work in a Software company.

I had Fiat and then Maruti 800 for almost 10 years and sold last month. Presently I am looking for compact diesel. I have driven my previous cars extensively from country side roads to today's modern highways.

I am regular visitor of Team BHP and found lot of helpful points and tips. I feel that I have joined Team BHP at the right time as I am planning to finalise between Figo Diesel and Vista Quadrajet. Eagerly awaiting your suggestions from fellow bhpians.

As many of us I am very passionate about driving and prefer long drives. My Maruti had travelled almost all roads in South India. Hope I may explore new places with my new car.

I have written lot of helpful tips to NHAI regarding modern highway constructions.

Thanks

Best Regards

Gokul

Hi Gokul

There couldnt be a better time to go in for a new hatch. There are so many of them coming in. Since you've shortlisted the Figo and the Vista also take a look at the Ritz diesel and the new Polo. Hope you find the reviews helpful.

Do take a stop at the Rules to familiarize yourself with the working of the forum

Welcome aboard

Thanks Dippy, V-16. My family does not like Ritz because of its shape at the back.. eventhough I got a massive discount around Newyear. Polo is highly priced and GTO's feedback makes me not in the list eventhough German quality is impeccable.. No doubt the quality & content of this forum is equal to X5's, Q7's etc....

welcome mate. i just bought a M800 that's just 21 years old. i love that car for the honesty and simplicity and practicality. I love it more than i love my turbo OHC. I would always say that for a car strictly for city use, it's perfect. good to know that it served well for all these years.
enjoy...

Yes. It is a real work horse and proven its quality. Nowadays it come with booster assisted brakes which make things easier in city traffic. But due to affordability and relatively cheaper prices people go for Alto & Spark as their first cars.. Recently I have not seen new registered Marutis on road in chennai.. what about hyd..
