Hello from New Zealand

Pleased to be part of BHP. I have been fascinated by Indian car history so this gives me a good insight to the motoring scene there.

I am what you would call "mature" though now verging on senile. I work in the Civil Engineering field, am self employed and contract to various consultants in Auckland, New Zealand. I occassionally trade in motor cars & have at present:

1968 Jaguar Mk2 2.4
2001 Mercedes C200 Sport Hatch
1998 VW Polo 1.6

I have a love of classic cars, fine wine, fine food, fine women & fine dogs, especially Bulldogs, hence my name. I have a 10 year old Bulldog named Sid Vicious, though he is of extremely social temprement. Sadly he reacts badly to Indian food, large amounts of flatulence result when he has a good curry so we stick to dog food.

I dabble in various other things & enjoy life tremendously.

My favourite saying "Everyday is a gift, thats why they call it the present" though this changes often!

Its an automatic, the gear lever is on the steering column. on the right. Its a real heavy car so progress is a bit slow, the 3.8 versions were the performance versions. Advanced car for its time, first mass produced car with disc brakes in the 1950s. Interior wood is walnut. This is is economy version so seats done in Ambla not leather.

Hi Bulldog,

Welcome to the forum.
Great pics of your Jag.
It was one of my dream cars - and still is - since I was a kid.
Take care of it.

Regards,

SS

Well, I have had a good offer for the Jag which includes trade of MG MGBGT plus some cash so considering selling. Its not my dream car, I'm working up to that! I have posted dog pics on the other thread.
