Thanked: Once

26 year old male based in Chennai.
First time prospective (new) car buyer.
Hope to be behind my own set of wheels in about 6 months.
Have my heart sold on the Palio.
Don't know for sure yet, though.
How true are their ### (picked up the abbreviation on this site!) horror stories anyway?
Like the Indigo too.
Looking for advice from time to time.
This seems like an informed place.
Looking forward to being here.

Welcome NeverClever.

The Palio is delicious, especially in 1.6 form. Dont worry about the After Sales Service. Fiat is trying very hard to improve on that count, and it is presently not any worse than what you will receive at a Mahindra and Tata service station. Trust me...Some people have made it a habit of picking on Fiat India.

Welcum ABOARD .. I am sure u'll find a lot of useful info around here !! Even the members are very helpful, I too joined very recently and really promote this site 2 other power freaks im group,

As far as the Palio goes, go for the 1.6 if u want total raw power. Dont listen to people who mention the after sales coz like GTO said, others 2 are pretty much the same. Just bought one myself last week, and wat a baby ... waiting to fit the K&N air filters and a free flow exhaust.... vvvvoooommmmmmmm !!!

HAve fun while u around here !

hi,
welcum aboard .nice to have u here.
i have a zen and will be goin for another car after the rains.had zeroed in on the 1.6 palio and a second hand vtec.
i have always been a big fan of the 1.6 gtx but now i have decided on the vtec as----
1.the palio 1.6 has been discontinued so watever u r getting is old stock.
2.the palio can never match the vtec in terms of overall appeal.

u can go for the 1.6 petra which is available for a good price .the petra is the same siena with a new name.
it shud be a better deal .
in the end its ur choice ,but when it cums to spending ur hard earned money, listening to ur heart can sometimes hurt.

no doubt the 1.6 is good but the vtec rules
