Hello guys, I am Vijay working with Mckinsey & Co. in Chennai. I am a silent visitor of this forum for past few years but have signed up only a couple of weeks back. I have already posted in few threads - mostly related to Chennai making this a sort-of late-introduction. Unlike fellow riders who have tried few times before making it through to the membership, I got my membership approved on my first ever attempt.

Well, I own a Maruti Alto for almost past 3 years and also have a Hero Honda Glamour PGM-FI (a rarity on road!!). Haven't done much of long drives except for a Chennai-Pondicherry and Chennai-Kanchipuram trips (I know you would giggle at this!!). Hopefully would be driving to Bangalore with my better half in the first week of Jan. And forgot to mention - had been on a 26hours drive down to Chennai from Pune (where I was working for couple of years) in a Qualis back in 2005 - though I was not the person on the wheel.

I follow up any car that is being launched/to-be-launched, gather details about it and most probably would test-drive it. Team-BHP has helped me gain a lot of knowledge in the world of automobile and I am now really proud of being a member of this esteemed forum.

@ravib: I always go through the travelogues section and its really awesome. Quite recently I read a travelogue of a trip from Delhi to Mumbai in some 24hours or so in an Alto. Man... I'm jealous of that guy.

@camchennai: wow... superb coincidence mate!! I just read your intro - neat and clean.. Seems you have also joined quite recently but have taken on to the fast mode changing yourself from a 'Newbie' to 'BHPian' quite quickly.

@joshguy: I am from the temple-town aka Nanganallur. and where are you from??

Is there any one from this area? I think I saw a post from someone - I forgot who it was - mentioning about Ullagaram petrol bunks in a thread relating to nitrogen for tyres.
