Hello BHPians

Gretings.

At the outset, i feel happy to be a part of this forum. Always wanted to join and contribute much long ago, but engrossed in some work or another. Happy that i am in now.

I am in Telecommunication software industry and I travel a lot between Europe, US and India.

My first car was Premier Padmini White petrol and i learnt driving on the same car. Subsequently I served in the defence where i have driven Russian automobiles like ZIL , KRAZ, URAL vehicles.

Later I had Baleno Altura, M800 and now I own Maruti Suzuki Ritz VDi Silky Silver since June 2009 which is a lovely little city car which i love to drive. I am no petrol/diseel head in particular though my passion for the Fiats Multijet engine combined with my calculation of economics pushed me towards VDi DDIS engine.

I have driven Fiat punto, Mini cooper in Europe and Toyota Yaris in US.

I would love to drive sports cars, SUVs. Happy that the market is opening up very well in India.

Cheers and happy motoring.

Best regards

Re: Hello BHPians

Welcome satishssiyer to TBHP, I used think i was a petrol head until the Fiat Multijet Diesel Engine made a convert out of me. I really love the torque of the DDIS and especially CRDI turbo diesel engines.

Cheers

Satish it would be great if you could share some photographs with your former Russian mates. Would also love to read about your driving experience abroad, specially with the mini.
