hello all

hi everyone,

I am a new member of Team-BHP, and would like to introduce myself, at least from the perspective of automobiles.

My experience with automobiles started with my dad's Bajaj Chetak (which I incidentally plan to restore soon) years back. Later, I purchased a second-hand Yezdi Deluxe motorcycle. I think it is fair to say it has been a constant love in my life. I moved to four wheelers about 4 years back with (again) a second-hand Maruti 800 that I purchased from a close friend. It was a 1990 Japan model, and a lot of fun to zip around town in. Since I work in a different place from my hometown and I had this car in my hometown, I had some difficulty maintaining it. This was the only automobile that I sold so far.

I am attached to my automobiles, and don't like to buy a new one every so many years. May be I am too attached - to think I decided not to go study abroad, because I didn't want to part with my Yezdi!!

A few months back, I purchased (yet again) a second hand Maruti Baleno, after a year of tearing my hair on what to buy. I don't always make the most practical decisions and hope I don't have reason to regret the choice of the Baleno. I think I should be fine as I am loving the car so far and think it was a good deal. Well, it seems I am stuck with three automobiles that are out of production, but then my wife is too .

I did refer the discussions on team-bhp a LOT in the process, and I decided to apply for membership to help get the best out of this vehicle. I am currently in Bangalore, and I think I might ask for some help on this forum regarding specific questions.

Hope to enjoy the website and forum,
cheers,
dww.

Re: hello all

Welcome aboard dww.

I hope you have a rewarding time in the website as well as the forums.

And the baleno is a very very nice car. It is one of the most underrated cars in India, probably a case of wrong thing at the wrong time and at the wrong price.
