Well, haven't had any encounters thus far!

Hey Askanal, congratulations on having a very good ownership experience with your Innova & no wonder your family is loving every bit of it. I hope you have still retained your car.

I am looking out for a used Innova, 5-7 years old, running could be 100K to 150k (or even more), but my budget is 5 lacs max. I would be using the Innova only for weekend/vacation trips with my family. I have an Indica for my daily office runs & city errands, may replace it in future. Do you think going for a used Innova is worthwhile, especially the age, running & budget that I am considering?

This might be a little bit off topic but might be helpful info for you AutoIndian. Innova is like the official car for transporting people in my company.

Whenever I get a pick up and a drop, I like to sit in the front. Many a times, I have seen these cars having clocked close to 500,000 KM

YES!! This is not an exaggeration... The cabbies have managed to make this car run for this long and it still has a very comfortable ride quality.

Long story short, I hope to see you getting more and more kilometers on your car

That's a well written ownership report. Small, precise and detailed. Nice job!

Even I own a 6 year old innova that's done 77k kms as of today. And incidentally, I had an ac problem last week. Went to the local service guy and got it repaired, temporarily. He said that there's some leak in the ac unit though. Need to get that checked by the Toyota people. Apart from that, the car's doing perfectly fine.
Just curious as to whether you service your car at the Toyota service centres only since my regular service bill was 7k last time.

Hi Ifly, thank you for sharing your experience. That 500K figure inspires a lot of confidence in the longevity of the Innova (or any toyota engine for that matter). I sincerely hope I can get a good used Innova within my budget at least by early next year.

Re: Innova - 70K and counting!

Hi bhp-ians,
I have a Lakh run Innova coming into Bangalore tommorrow. I was wondering if anyone knows of any service centre here (other than Toyota authorised) that can take care of clutch replacement within a day?

Regards

Hello nijelj, that is bit of a strange request. Toyota is one of the best when it comes to after sales service. Then why are you wary of visiting Toyota authorized for your clutch replacement, that too a scheduled service. Is it because you are traveling & are in a hurry? But then don't the Toyota's have the express service facility? I think, though now it is very late to fix an appointment, why don't you give it a try.
