If he's taking on an RS, he's going to need them!

I think Autopsyche can be of some help to you here. He has modified a invecs into a coupe. I guess he would have made some engine mods.

y not PM him. Maybe he will be able to provide some insight on this.

I did PMed him earlier (when I was buying Lancer) but seems he does not have time for freebie enthusiasts like me

By the way...I got V-kool installed yesterday on my Lancer, I did not feel the need on my Petra or Palio (both fitted with Saint Gobain Brazil OEM glasses.. Lucky me!) but Lancer's Asahi Float forced me to buy film.

I got 94% heat rejection film on front windscreen and 61% heat rejection V-Kool on rest of the glasses. MRP:11095 and I managed 15% discount so paid 9.5K...still very expansive.

Congrats Rishi on your new car!

Very often I see people who love Fiat, also love Lancers. Any logic?

Thanks Minardi...I do a lot of R&D before buying anything...and this seemed like the best automatic that I could get in my money and with 122 odd horses under its bonnet, it did not disappointed me. I am happy with it's ownership so far.

Both are underdogs.

palio to the swift and Getz. and
lancer to the baleno and NHC.

there are people who always vote for underdogs.

@Rishi has the v-kool had any effect. even my sfxi used to get very hot. especially the leather steering grip and the leather seats(Wonder Y I got them in the first place)

btw did u find any RS enthusiast to compete with?

V-Kool looks good to me...I mean it has been just 2 days and I really have not been able to experience it to max but aircon is running on one speed slower since last 2 days in afternoon. sides with 61% are really effetive and have a lovely gray-pink tint. front windscreen cuts off a lot of heat but I am still not sure of their 94% claim....when left in sun the dashboard/steering still boil to almost same level as non v-kool days.

I think a long drive shall give a better picture, i shall write my experience with v-kool in details after a drive in Delhi...thats the real test!

Nope...I have not been able to locate an eager RS.

I think u are the first person to own an invecs on team-bhp

Any niggling problems? I think HM has taken care of the quality control.

Absolutely zero problems (touch wood!) and I am happy with quality on 2006 model, no gaps or cheap plastic issue.

You bet dude!

I went nuts trying to find a good used 1.6 Petra before I found my current Lancer. A few of the reasons I chose the Lancer was due to it's availability, the build quality & reliability - on some Fiats, reliability tends to be a bit suspect.

Also, wifey was guaranteed to leave me if I'd found a Petra & bought it - she hates the way it looks, also hates the alleged fuel efficiency & company / reliability issues. How I wish Fiat India would've gotten their damn act together earlier!

I truly love the Lancer, & if I'd found a Petra, I'd have had a serious problem choosing...

Maybe it's the tank like build quality & exceptional chassis that's common between these cars...
