Well it seems the mahindra service attitiude is same everywhere. Sorry but I couldn't stop laughing at your RM's response on bulbs. Sounds so familiar:-D
Anyways I wouldn't say its better but you can try koncept mahindra at okhla. My RM since day one is Santosh. Nice young chap. If you want I can give his number to you. |
Please PM me the contact details of your RM. The more i notice, the more XUVs i see on road with fused low beam lamps.
And these service centers are trying to make money out of it, they have changed 3 models of bulbs since launch, R&D at cost and pain of the customer. How i wish we had better consumer laws and a proper recall policy.

How about this for Customer Service! I was handed over a Brand New XUV with a Flat Spare Tire by Koncept Noida. The story it seems is that my Front Left Tyre got punctured, they replaced it with the spare, forgot to fix the flat tire, forgot to reset the TireTronics and handed over the Vehicle to me.
It's so convenient to ask the Owner to bring the Vehicle to the Service Center.

I so wish it was like that. They dont have any clue of the issue hence they blame on the bulbs. Not a single day goes by when i dont see an XUV with one eye blind in Delhi.
Anyways my RM name is Santosh and his number is 9999534871. Let me know what experience you had with this dealer.

Last evening i realized the RHS low beam bulb has conked off. A fused bulb is not much of an irritant in mot cars but replacing the bulb is quite a task in XUV-500. My car is due of 40k service this week, ill get the bulb changed at dealership.
Second instance of fused bulb in my XUV-500, but i have seen a lot of XUV's on road running fused low beam bulbs, is it really an issue or just a case of ignorant owners? |
Add me to that list too! Last Sunday, while taking XUV out of garage, I noticed the LHS low beam was kaput! It is indeed a noticeable thing that how many XUVs run on road with fused bulbs. Ridiculous I say! :Frustrati
Need to get the bulb changed. Any suggestions?

Hi there, is your XUV white in color by any chance? You live near HDFC bank in saket right?

Naah Nitin, ours is owned by a cousin and resides in my hometown, rarely visiting Delhi. But I remember seeing the one you are talking about in PVR Saket area.
am sharing a pic (originally posted in my civic thread) of both cars together at home.
I dropped a feedback mail with the link to this report to the AGM of Sri Durga Auto. Mr.Virdi, AGM, called me to apologize, he accepted there was negligence on their part.
He has agreed to replace the Headlamp wiring harness under warranty (That is what i insisted for at the time when Job card was being noted down). The excess charged will also be refunded at my next visit.
And the Rexton will have to visit the service station again, this time to compare the bad smell issue(A/C sucking in outside air in Recirculation mode) with a brand new Rexton. Link to the thread:

Hi Anshuman,
I know this is not the right thread for this, but I face a similar issue with my new Rapid. A/C sucking in outside air in Auto mode in spite of Recirculation mode on. This does not happen always though. I was told that when in Auto mode, this is bound to happen. This never happens when I manually override and adjust the temperature/fan speed.
Hi Anshuman,
Hows the A/C performing in the current climate in NCR? My 2012 W8's A/C performance is dismal during the day, but is acceptable during nights. That said, I do feel some drop in A/C performance compared to last summer. It takes really loooong to cool the huge cabin.
Suspected a dirty A/C filter initially, but once I saw it, there was not much dust. Did a DIY clean and put it back but no noticeable improvement. Any pointers?

Hi narsi_6989, The Auto Mode must be switching to Fresh Air mode, press recirculation button after you select Auto mode. Does it still suck in outside air when recirculation mode is manually selected?

The A/C in my XUV is a freezer, despite such a huge glass area, it chills in no time. Get your A/C checked, XUV has a really strong A/C.

The re circulation symbol comes up automatically when I press the 'Auto' button. But after that I have not tried to press the re circulation button again manually. Let me try it today when I take back my vehicle from worshop today.
Seems like quite a lot of XUVs are plagued by this AC problem. Got the AC serviced today along with brand new evaporator coil at Mahindra, all under warranty. AC is back to its chilling best. :thumbs up

Hi There, i agree with Anshuman here. XUV has one of the strongest AC in its class. This is not a common issue so if you are facing it then please get it checked.
One pointer for you that i use when i want my cabin to cool asap. Keep the blower at the back in second row at 2 and facing toward driver side all the time, so that when you step in your boiling car, just put on the second AC too. This way cabin will get cooler way too faster than normally, trust me.
Thank you for the tip! I will try this tomorrow :)
Regarding the AC performance, as I mentioned in my post, its back to its initial best after the servicing and coil replacement. Feels good to have a brand new A/C at 22K kms. :D

Hey,
I have a XUV 2012 model and have run around 27800KM, my drive is usually is bangalore city and fortnightly i clock between 200- 300km. Recently i got a huge creeping sound from Left rear wheel, so i left the car to service and ask them to carry out 4 paid service.
I got a call from RM and told me that the pad is worn out due to that disk is also damaged. So i did not find an option but asked them to replace the whole assembly. Also, he said the Right rear pad is worn out ( can rund till 5k), so i asked them to replace. Just want to check what is the life of pads and discs on this car ?
Does braking assembly comes in a set or does it come separately ( pads, disc and so on)
Auto start and stop issue was there like it does not stop sometimes though the autostart stop is on. But this problem is not consistent. I got a call RM saying that gravity level of battery has gone down because of low usage so the auto start on and off does not function as expected. However battery seems good it seems. Question: Is there a way to check the gravity level ? and can it be adjusted to required level in alternative way ?
Were there any issues being found by anyone related to suspension ? if so what kind of issues ?
People who have got message saying front brake pads have worn out, did you replace the whole assembly or just the pads ?
