I did not face any visibility issues and I mounted it under my rear view mirror.
I will work on routing the charger wire tomorrow and then get some pics.

The DVR is mounted under the rear view mirror.

Routing the charger wire is still pending. Need to figure out if I should take it behind the plastic on the A pillar or stick it in the open.

The car completes 6 months this week. So had it washed and waxed over the weekend.

Some stats:
Total Distance: ~6800 kms
Best fuel consumption: 14.77 kmpl
Worst: 11.37 kmpl
Average: 12.55 kmpl

Issues:
Squeaking noise from windscreen. Will be fixed when car goes in for service. Its a known issue.
Noise door panels. Known issue, it was was pointed out by SA who said he will remove and refit all the doors. I had not noticed this till he pointed it out.
Engine revving on its own. Its definitely something with the throttle body. Will be investigated when car goes in for service.

Happiness Level: VERY VERY HIGH.

I am glad I bought this car. Its lovely to drive. My family gets all the space they need. Both kids are almost always in the child seats and my wife sits with them. Have figures out an easy way to load the cycle inside the car. Now I do it without even bothering with a bedsheet etc. It stays in position and does not scratch anything. In fact its easier to load the cycle in the Sail compared to my older Wagon R.

The shell petrol bunk that I have been using since 2012 was shut down. I was forced to change to Indian Oil.

After two tank fulls of petrol from here, the engine revving issue seems to have disappeared.

I drove thru some nasty traffic with the AC on. The car behaved perfectly fine.

The car went in for its second service today. I dropped the car at 10:15 AM.
At 2:30 PM spoke with the Service Adviser. Delivery was promised at 4:30 PM.
I got to the service station and the car was ready.

Unfortunately a couple of recall items were not available. They will be confirming on Wednesday so I can go back on Friday.
The windscreen cowl and door beading will be replaced.

They also changed some suspension part under warranty.

I paid Rs 118 for distilled water and brake oil topup.

I like this service center. Coming from Maruti I was always worried. But so far so good. I have no complaints.

For the engine rev issue, the ECU has been reset.
The fuel tank was inspected for water, none was found.

I took a snap of the parts cost. I think they are all quite acceptable.

Belated congratulations bblost on your becoming the owner of the new Chevrolet Sail UVA. I came in too late to browse here on this thread.
Starting from the first post, I could sense the objectivity right from the choice made till the final decision to zero in upon the Sail UVA.

These days there is a lot of pigeon holing in this segment and hence the chosen brands (GM does not feature in many a buyer's list) are from the most favoured two car makers (the Big Two in India sales wise), followed by the Ford Figo or if one can think a bit beyond, its the Polo. The Nissan Micra is also the choice of some, while the Toyota Liva in most cases does not get a second glance.

Its only rare that one decides to choose the Chevrolet Sail UVA.But the favourable points of this car that you have discussed while making your choice, get my two cents.
Happy Driving and I will frequent this thread from now on, though the car is about 7 months old.

And I am so glad I did.

The car has been almost perfect for my needs.
It has the passenger space that is in the leagues of bigger cars. It loses out on the boot but it was never my priority.
The service team in Hyderabad is very decent. They actually listen and I was very impressed by my SA Aleem and the in charge Tirupathi.

There a couple of shortcoming though.
Removing the spare wheel was a pain. The angle for placing it back inside is a little messed up.
The steering at high speeds is dead.
The music system could have been a little better. But I dropped my plans for upgrading it since I listen to boring music.

The only thing I miss is a sun roof. I would have really really liked it bu it was only available in the i20 and I hated everything else about that car.

I am also among the rare bread who have a micra petrol and sail uva petrol in garage. Of course the sail uva is my dad' and he himself liked it over other cars by test drive (he is 68 and he still prefers to do test drive before purchasing car). And we have the same color as you do.

Ours is going to complete his 1 year on this may. Though I could not have many chances to drive it as the car is in my native, but the thousand kilometers I drove, I loved it. Stable and planted, though rear seat is bouncy at highway drive which I feel is the characteristics of any HB. There is nothing to complain about the car apart from few things
1. the joints of metal look odd on the doors
2. I somehow stuck the driver side seat-belt with the handbrake when engaged.

Mileage is quiet good considering the size of the car, as my dad is consistently getting 15 + on city road.

I consider my Outer Ring Road with its 120 kmph speedlimit as the main reason for low mileage.

That is because of my Dad's driving style, he beat the ARAI figure of my micra on NH 7 (mileage got 21 kmpl vs 19 of ARAI).

They took approximately 45 minutes to replace the cowl and the door's rubber beading.

I was confused as to what this cowl was. Its the plastic part ouside the windscreen, that collects the water from the wipers.

The new design has a slightly altered angle. It no longer rubs against the windscreen.

Car has crossed 7777 kms.

I don't have a picture of the old cowl.
But the new one has a rubber beading that runs along the edge. I don't think the old one had this.

I have driven about 1.5k kms since the change. The noise has not come back.

I am surprised the service center did not take this change on their own. This is a fairly well documented issue with them.

I had to go back to the service center on Saturday as the engine rev issue was back.

They have updated my ECM with the latest version.
While I was getting it done, I saw a Sail Sedan getting its rubber beading replaced.
They had done this for me during my last service.

To summarize, they have to replace the cowl and the rubber beading in all the doors.

Escalate if you must, the service center is being stupid by pissing of a customer of such a low selling car.

On Saturday there was a free service camp in progress. They gave everyone a puff and a packet of biscuits along with a bottle of juice. I also got a complimentary car wash and a pen stand.
