For the non-chrome lovers, the simplest thing MSIL could have done is given us atleast an option to buy these Euro Spec Grills as an accessory here in India. How I wish this alone could have had some additional impact on the sales numbers .
Wow that is so much value for money for what it offers. Time to stalk some swedish sites I guess and hope that they deliver as I do not know anyone there

Superb transformation KeyNote. Two things

1. The water fall design of the Euro spec grille looks great on the S-cross in my personal opinion.
2. Grey and black combo truly makes this a tusker

Having owned a city 3rd gen, I always liked the waterfall design and this grill design flows with the front end of the S-Cross too.

I'll likely upgrade to these grills sometime in the future. For now, budgets are exhausted.

A BIG thanks to you KP. You were among the 1st ones (in tbhp) to get these Euro spec grills installed and made us feel jealous over the drool-worthy pictures you've shared so far. And ofcourse, without Arun wouldn't have been possible to bring them here for Sandeep & Myself from Sweden.

Yes, completely agree. Heck this grill looks much much better than the toothy chrome grills on the facelift now.

+1 to that. The Euro spec grill would any day look better than the two-slat CHROME grill we have on the pre-facelift version. So, go get it Sudeep.

A friend of mine Sandeep got the Euro grills too. Lets see how it looks on the White shade. Plus, with the risk of being repeating the pictures sharing the ones on Grey shade too to give an idea how it looks on different shades.

PS : Sharing these pictures of White Scross based on Owner's consent.

Sorry to have caused you this sweet trouble Arvind. The grills were bought from authorized Suzuki dealership in Sweden and were hand carried back.

Not sure about other online options, but have you checked "aliexpress" url?

Yes, it is available in aliexpress. One can always get it de-chromed at 3M etc., if they can't procure from any of the European countries.

Really really hope you got the car pressure washed after that and checked. Sea water is like acid on the car. Possible the worst torture to a car than anything is driving it through the sea water.

Yes Vid, thank you for the pointers and advice.
Could not resist experiencing the drive-in beach at Kannur but limited it to a 15 minute drive. Later got the car washed thoroughly within 24 hours at a reputed 3M outlet.

Throwback Tuesday :

Just another day for Tusker at the Hills with some awesome company
As a co-passenger, had a lot of fun climbing up the hills while my stock car was driven by fellow bhpian friend kpzen.

Tusker performed seamlessly without breaking a sweat.

re: Maruti S-Cross 1.6L | Addictiveness Personified | EDIT: 110,000 km up!

Hello Friends, this is a customary post after almost 5 months in this thread.

"It's an achievement to live a low profile life in today's world and the role of various forms of media" - pretty profound as said by one of my friend recently. So on a similar thought process, here is my "tusker" celebrating 2 glorious years of ownership and having clocked 31,000 KMs.

Low profile car but now with ~140 bhp and ~390 NM torque

Maruti S-Cross 1.6L | Addictiveness Personified | EDIT: 110,000 km up!-img8791-1.jpg

Cost of Ownership at TWO year mark :

Upgrades /Maintenance etc. in the past one year.

XP Micro Projector Fog Lamps - Rs.14,000/-
20K paid service at BIMAL service center - Rs.10000/-
30K paid service at BIMAL service center - Rs. 6300/-
Wheel allignment & balacing done at Madhu's -~Rs.2200/-
Wolf remap done upon odo reaching 25K kms - Rs.25000/-
Ddpai Mini2 dashcam with 32gb memory stick and hardwiring kit - Rs.7400/-
Fuel Bills - ~Rs.70,000/-
Periodic washing charges - Rs.5000/-
3rd year comprehensive insurance renewal - Rs.25123/-
Grand Total - ~ Rs.165023/-

Enough of talking i guess. Lets see the two parting shots as I sign off for the day.

re: Maruti S-Cross 1.6L | Addictiveness Personified | EDIT: 110,000 km up!

A dear friend of mine reminded that I forgot to add the cost of most sought after Euro Grills which costed ~3000 INR in my previous post.

Anyways, did a 1400 KMs trip recently to Goa and the details are posted in the below URL. Tusker drank close to two tank full of diesel during this trip.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/route...ml#post4482317 (Bangalore - Goa : Route Queries)

Maruti S-Cross 1.6L | Addictiveness Personified | EDIT: 110,000 km up!-img9911.jpg

After remap, vehicle was being driven the way it is supposed to be driven . Hence got an unscheduled engine oil change alone done at 35k KMs at a negligible labor cost.

Cost of engine Oil + Oil filter Rs.3763/- including GST.
Cost of labor Rs.245/- including GST.

No other work was carried out as the Works Manager and the SA at BIMAL are very accommodating and knew that most of the parts would be replaced during the 40k paid service.
Having said that, the car is still with first set of stock break pads and works like a charm without an issue.

Courtesy team-bhp, both the car and myself are feeling fit as ever -
