Hi RX135,

I presume that the mileage figure that you quoted was for city driving?

What's the mileage for highway driving?

Regards

And Ashwamegh closing their dealership??? For both Fiat AND Bajaj?
Any minor glitches you had till date?
Quite likely you have seen the car in person if you stay around Kothrud/Karve road. Black Petra is rare on roads and hard to miss. Ashwamegh is closing the dealership and vacating the place. I suppose, it has nothing to do about how well were they doing the business.

Yes. That is the city figure. On highway, it ranges between 13.5 (fast n furious ) to 16 (sedate).

A very nice and comprehensive review. Would love some pics added to this post and then it would have been a complete one.

RX, very nice review there. But it is only 20,000 for you? I am on 25000+ and will write one soon. But I have reviewed the car before:

Actually, I am close to 22,000 now. 20,000 is more of milestone figure

*Occasionally*, I do get kind of guilty feeling that, I am using car for just a single person. So, I have reduced my car usage these days intentionally and using more of my RX. Planning to buy a bicycle soon.

Any chances of Fiat coming up with a new Petra?
I think that Petra was really a VFM car and I wanted to buy one but it got discontinued.. :-(

Nice review.

I have driven Sienna Diesel and the car rocks in terms of ride and driveability. Enjoy!!

After long time, I am updating this thread and the reason is very queer one.

Today, I drove back to Pune and it was around 250 km highway drive on NH4. I was driving alone, not in mood for any spirited driving. It was hot sunny afternoon, so A/C was ON all the time. There was not a whole lot of traffic, especially notorious NH4 toll booths didn't eat up much time.

I filled up 9.87 ltr. unleaded petrol worth Rs. 500 near Karad and it lasted me for next 175 km. It roughly turns out to be 17.75 kmpl with A/C. This probably was the best FE I got with the car in last 5.5 years. I was mostly driving around 80-100 kmph, with minimal braking and acceleration (it took me 3 hours 15 min for 245 km).

Would personally love to see if this FE can be achieved anytime in the future.

P.S.:

BTW, couple of days back, I came across 2 white Lineas in Khambataki Ghat. I don't know if they were being driven by dealer towards Satara or, if they were test cars. Both were very sedately driven till the start of ghat. I do not know why, but suddenly one Linea absolutely cut loose. I have a suspicion that, a spirited red Fiesta 1.6 instigated the driver. I love Khambataki ghat, so I tried to catch up with that Linea and boy, it sure was quick. It kept climbing effortlessly and quickly. I don't know if it was just regular MJD or if it was the new T-Jet one, but I could hear my car's tyres (PP2) squealing on turns. (That red Fiesta finally caught up with us much later after the ghat was over).

If that is what MJD is, I'll be happy to take one.

Not much. Around 48,000 km.

Parts changed so far are clutch master cylinder (around 1500) and rear brake cylinder (around 700, though not entirely sure).

It's mostly regular servicing expenses otherwise.
