Does the iDtec engine consume oil,cause I have spoken to couple of mechanics and they told oil consumption is seen in almost all iDtec engines.

I have a diesel WRV. It has the same diesel engine discussed here. It has run more than 60k and serviced at the interval of 10k. I haven’t noticed any drop in oil level between each service. I usually check the oil level every two weeks or so.

Hi,
The oil consumption of iDTEC is the same as any other diesel engine. At every service, the engine oil has been replaced and there has never been any report of excessive oil consumption.
The engine performs brilliantly post oil replacement. The enhanced experience generally lasts for a month post the oil replacement.
