Dear Sir
Your thread as an owner of a 2009 Vista Aqua Tdi gives me great joy
I have a few questions
1. I’ve done 140000 k, were you ever advised to go in for piston change?
2. Did you have turbo issues? I’ve had mine serviced but seems underpowered still
3. Did you have fuel pump issues? I’ve had that serviced as well, but the engine goes off easily after a drive , along with dark smoke when it restarts

Hello sir, the answer to all your questions is in the negative. No work of any sort has been done on the piston, turbo or fuel pump. The only work I got done was EGR cleaning to remove the soot deposited over 120k kms. Plus of course changing the timing chain, belt and mounts. Everything else is still stock. I suppose this being the Fiat Quadrajet engine, it requires less maintenance than Tata's own TDI engine. I would suggest that you try taking your car to a different service centre or even a FNG to check out the issues you have mentioned. My experience with TASC is that some of them are better than others.
