Parts are hard so I am sourcing it from outside India. Looking for the fuel strainer now even though there isn't clarity about changing it. The SC cleaned it during the last service. God Speed
Thanks a lot for your appreciation.

Kindly buy spare parts from Honda ASS and let them install too. Original Honda parts are cheaper in India as compared to buying parts from outside of India.

Most Honda Accord parts are made in Japan they also fail less, if you put aftermarket part in your car it will not work for long.

Honda labour charges are also affordable. Please try it yourself.

I changed my cars fuel strainer and it's located in fuel pump assembly so SC cleaned it? It sounds like he is joking with you. Ask your Honda ASS for fuel strainer replacement it costs around 4000 ₹ now for part only.
Fuel filter needs replacement around 60 to 80000kms mark.
I changed my cars fuel strainer in 2021 and it costed me around 2500 ₹.

I hope it helps.

It is not a common issue it arises only after putting aftermarket power steering fluid in any Honda car and using it for 2-3 years or more.

I am a victim of aftermarket ATF and PSF. Honda car needs specific Honda made or Honda certified Power Steering Fluid.

I was unable to find Honda PSF in all Honda ASS in my area. ASS located in my city asked me to order a carton of 10 litres of PSF there concern was they do not service any Car with Hydraulic Power Steering other than my Accord and PSF change is not frequent..

Honda will not sell them a single or 2 pieces of HONDA PSF it's price is only 700 rs per litre but again it will cost me 7000rs of investment for 10 pieces of PSF.

I found Mannol Honda Ultra PSF on Amazon India for 1200 ₹ per litre. Spending 2400 ₹ instead of investing 7000 ₹ in dead stock is better.

Here is a video I made for Honda Hydraulic Power Steering users.

I hope it helps.

I would happily get the parts from the Honda SC If I could but they toldr the fuel strainer is not available. The compressor Belt has started whining so I checked the price here and it was 6k or so and it was under 2k from the Honda spare parts shop outside India so I got that. Need to get it installed. I have never serviced the car outside Honda SC except for one time after COVID when those guys were like we don't have time for you. So I went and changed the oil outside. Got the same oil Honda uses. Synthetic. I want to change from 0W grade now, what do you feel? 0W is for colder climates I had read and out here it's hot on most days. It's not a daily driver but still.

Also Honda SC was hesitant to take a look at the AC issue when it popped up so I took it to the place even they outsource their AC works to. I saw many Honda vehicles there being dropped off by the SC and I knew it was true that the SC outsources it. All these years Honda never provided me a cabin air filter and it took this FNG to tell me to get the cabin air filter. Also I got the coolant flushed this time from the Honda SC. They rarely have stuff in stock and I don't blame them. This is the reason I opt for getting stuff from outside.

I was told by the Honda SC to not drain any of the fluids now as it might Speed up the leaks. I am told to top it as it goes and then do the repairs. Power steering unit rebuild is what I see others do and not replacement. I hope to find a good place to do that. Also I was told that the master cylinder/clutch or so has issues and will need attention after a while. God Speed

Re: 2007 Honda Accord 2.4L MT | Ownership & Repair Experience

Thanks for this post man! Right post at the right time.

I am currently looking to get a neatly maintained 2009 accord with DL registration and get it transferred to my hometown. As the luck would have it, my hometown is Hathras and Aligarh is just an hour away from there. Also, I have lots of relatives residing there in Aligarh. I tried to send you a PM but I couldn't figure it out as I am still a newbie here. Could you please share the costs for the car and the transfer charges and maybe I'll need the contractor's info as well.

My heart wants to befriend you🥹

2009 Accord is a great option.

I spent around 1 lakh in transfer it included third party insurance, both contractors fees, new registration charges, RTO tax which is 25% of actual road tax paid in Delhi.

In Hathras RTO find Mr Deepak I will PM you his mobile number.

I hope it helps.

Congratulations @CSA on your Honda Accord. Salute to you on going through the pain and getting all the paper work cleared. It is a well-engineered car and it will easily for so many more years, though managing spares can be challenging. Wishing you many more happy miles.

Every one is using McPherson Setup for cost cutting.
From W-205 onwards, C-class gets Double Wishbone front Suspension. I believe, it is same for even 3-series.

Loved the thread, I have the same car but the pre-facelift model(2003).

It's been pristinely maintained at Honda.

That's interesting, the Honda ASS here in Bangalore have no issues in providing me OEM Power Steering Fluid and OEM Transmission fluid(DW-1). I got mine changed very recently.

It's quite cheap here too at around 1.1k per liter.

Idk if it matters but Bangalore has quite a lot of Civics and Accords and I see a lot of them all the times I've been to the ASC. Perhaps that's why they keep the fluids here? No clue

You should probably consider getting the fluid from here if it will help.
