To add to this the service booklet even does not have any mention of it, confident now that there is no Low Fuel warning.

I am a little disappointed by this but I can live with it, not much of a hassle with all these meters right in front of me.

Yesterday, I was trying hard to find that lamp to show me "Low Fuel" warning, My Heart wanted to see the lamp, but mind said "you fool" could be stuck anywhere if this lamp does not lite up. So puled over to the next Station and filled 40 ltrs.

Folks,

it is also not recommended to leave the fuel tank to bottom out before you refill. This is because -

1. Lower FE if you have fuel less than half tank (Due to more evaporation )
2. Lot of dirt would get into the fuel pump and into the engine
3. You run the risk of fuel tank scaling/rusting faster.

So fill the tank up and do not worry about low fuel indicator. I always refill before 1/4 tank.

I overheard a customer yelling at the dealer (when i was taking delivery of my Sx4). Its been 3 months since the angry customer had booked a VDi with ABS and the dealer was trying to explain that he has no clue when the customer will get it and was advising the customer to advise the bank not to pay out hte loan until the dealer confirms the start of shipment from Gurgaon!!!! So much is the demand for VDi. Its a crazy world out there. I dont know if any other car has stirred so much interest and after Indica until swift happened!!
