1 year ownership - Fiat Adventure

Hi All,

Yes its been an year of ownership or rather possession
of my beast Fiat Adventure. As my Formula Red beauty
wades throug the busy Bangalore Traffic or races on
the highway or glides on dirt tracks, shehas managed
to snatch many second looks. I cld go on being
horribly poetic about my Adventure, but in short i'm
speechless on her performance. I'll state Facts now.

Model: Fiat Adventure Sport
Colour: Formula Red
Make: F06
Date of purchase: J06 (12/10/06)
ODO Reading: 10100
Max Speed: 175kmph (NICE Road, Bangalore)
Road Trips: Ooty, Dharwar, Dandeli, Karwar,
Marvanthe, Agumbe, Sringeri, Mullayanagiri.
Mileage: 9 kmpl City (100% AC) Highway 15-17 kmpl
Mods: Only Art seat covers and a Pioneer System with
JBl Speakers

Glitches Faced:

Trip Meter stopped worling. Problem with the gear.
Replaced by Javali at Hubli under Warrenty. Spare was
available at the shop.

Due to gusty winds, door of my Garage hit the front
bumber fog lamp, breaking the ornament (the plastic
shield) around. Replaced by paying Rs. 100 for the
spare and 50 for the labour at Manipal Motors Airport
Road Bangalore. Spare immediately Available.

Highlights:
Every Moment!!!

Conclusion:
I have been driving for more than a decade now, owning
various cars from A Padmini, to an Omni, couple of
Santros and and Indigo. I have never been happier
sitting inside a car. I well and truly possess this
machine of mine.

Good report mate!

The Fiats were always good it is the marketing that killed them.

Hello Sriram
Incidently i booked my adventure this saturday, probably one of the last few ones left now.
Nice to know that u rate it so higher, and the feedbacks from FIAT owners like you reassures me that i have opted for a really fantastic car.
Keep going

I could never touch 9 in city (BLR). You should give some driving tips. I get 8.x always. On highways, i just touch 13 if I drive sedately (relative terms) and 12.x when driven spiritedly (120+)

I will post some snaps of my beast shortly. I had driven in the monsoon in costal and malnad karnataka. I have a video. I shall make a few stills from the video and post them.
I too was quite surprised with the mileage. In bangalore the least mileage i have got is around 8.5 and that was only once. And once when i went to ooty, on the uphill drive with 4 pple on board, it gave a mileage of 14.5, absolutely stunning considering the 36 haip-pin bend drive and mostly in 2nd gear.
I jsut stick to one pertol bunk and have always filled in IOC Xtra Premium. Oce I tried Shell Super and the mileage was lower.

I bought a Palio 1.6 sport on Monday.

the adventure is not available in Bangalore & none of the dealers were optimistic of sourcing it from outside.

anyway I'm proud of my Formula Red 1.6 Sport
