Cedia Sports: A 6500 kms report

HI all,

Well Last time I posted a review was at 4500km in Jan end some time. I manage to put on another 2000 kms in next 2 months. Its not much compared to its first 2 and half months of ownership. But I think its respectable as I dont use it for everyday office commuting. So its driven mostly on weekends and on every weekend.

Since I shifted to pune weekend trips to near by places have become easy and frequent compared to Mumbai as one can get out of the city in few minutes. Thats exactly the reason I picked up a car, never for an office commuting. OK coming back to car, I just love it every time I get in to driving seat.

Some observation:

Well most of the technicalities are already discussed in various threads on cedia. I will put down few points and let the pictures do the talking.
  1. The exterior paint finish (black in my case) still looks good. And build quality appears to be a non issue (i know its still almost new, but still no rattling issues any where).
  2. Suspensions seems to have soften up compared to what it was couple of months back. Is this expected?
  3. Engine noise is negligible and cabin insulation from outside noise it good.
  4. Extremely easy to drive in city traffic.
  5. High speed stability is also good.
  6. Mileage: City 8.5 to 9.8 kmpl, Highway 11-14 kmpl. These are worst and best figures i get in each full tank.
  7. Blau ICE is basic but sounds good for what comes at no extra money. And dont feel like upgrading anything. Only crib is there is no straight forward way to plugin Ipod or USB.
  8. I find the stock Head lights are inadequate on highways so is the noise of stock rubber bridgestone RE88.
A word about dealership: My experience with metro motors Mumbai was pleasant. Staff was polite, knowledgeable and prompt. The complete buying process was very satisfactory and so was after sales service till I was in Mumbai. have to check out how it will be in Pune.

And yeah at last some pictures of my beauty.

The interiors looks spanking new! Can we have bigger pix.

You can upgrade your OE bulbs to 90/100 with proper wiring kit.

edit: Can someone change the thread title to Cedia Sports

Nice lookin ride and wonderfully shot. These pics ought to make it to the brochure. Instead of upgrading bulbs why not consider HID's?

Are HID's legal? I went to a store to get HID's and i was told that they are not legal in India.

They are not legal unless supplied as OE from the manufacturer.

Good update and nice pics.Wonderfull color. One thing i feel about the cedia is the build quality and colors. All the colors they have put down is very nice evoking good character in each different colors.Interior is worth appreciating and way ahead of the lancers.Good going and as JK said upgrade the bulbs.

Dealer told me that the 90/100 with relay and wiring kit costs around Rs-2000. I was asked to wait till the first service for this upgrade.

Are you in advertising?

thanks for ur words but Rudra's work is awesome and i think i will take ages to come some where close to him. I have seen his work and yeah thats inspiration. Hope to produce some thing like that one day.

No i am not in advertisement. I do pursue photography as a hobby but its more of nature stuff.

Yeah!! Black is very difficult to maintain. Every single fingure print and every single dust particle shows up.
