Sterling is on the way to my daily commute, and from the past few times, I am happy with the service they are providing. So why rock the apple cart!
that said, if I need to do anything pertaining to 4x4, then I will head to Autolinks.

Tanveer,
Any updates you want to share, if the golden 500kms are covered on your White Elephant
Thnx
She is fine now, but then she has done barely 100kms after the FP change.
However, the power window fix is still not working. At speed if I roll down the window, it refuses to close. I have to slow below 60kmph for window to close.
The reason is that air stream pulls the window towards outside, and due to play, it gets stuck on the window sill before it reaches the top.
This is the second time they have failed to fix it. Looks like some negative feedback is needed!
I think you will have to re-align the window runners inside the door, and maybe change the beadings if they have worn out. Shouldnt be a costly job.
yup, seems to be a simple job. Will get it fixed after the long weekend.
With 7 degree in morning, she is not doing that grr grr, so it was the fuel temp sensor after all!
On a negative note, the hand primer was leaking diesel, and the service center informed me by phone that the bill is close to 4K and its not covered under warranty :Frustrati
She is eating money.
At 31K I had spent close to 4K for bushes, not at 35K its 4000rs for hand primer. The white elephant is under warranty, and apart from regular services the cost/km is rupee to a km!, include regular service and its creeping upto to 2rs a km.
Congrats Tanveer. The thread is 100 pages now, and good to know the century brought you good luck. :D

Grumble and present your case before TML's customer service executive directly- usually they accede :). All the best.

I am happy to see no suffixes to the basic thread name! :thumbs up
Good to see the primary problem gone. Minor issues will remain, it's a white elephant and what's a white elephant without some maintenance?:)
36000 kms and 100 pages, finally the white elephant has become a good boy.
Congrats Tanveer :)
Had to read it thrice, the thread title to confirm that my eyes were not playing tricks. A proper thread title atlast!
Did you ever use the hand primer? Or it just got faulty on its own?
Tame elephant at 36K Kms?
Enjoy the beast and ride hard.
Good to know that the problem is solved finally.
On a slightly different note, maintenance at Re.1/Km is on the high side let alone Rs.2/Km.
Why the hand primer is not covered under warranty, does that mean hand brake also will not be covered?? Absolutely no logic there!

Err... the hand primer is part of the high-pressure diesel pump, isn't it?
