I think you will have snow till june. It depends on how fast snow is melting, and when was the last snowfall. This time I expect snow to last till july easily on Rohtang
Alas an issue less update. Though I think the revving issue needs to be checked asap.

As for OTRs my white elephant is a little too fragile for such stuff(I felt the skid plates, they are flimsy thin sheets of iron, and only give the illusion of being thick), so when weather improves, I will probably hop in as a passenger
.
BTW I will be speaking to MASS people for better skid plates.
The worst one is the first plate covering the intercooler. It looks like solid iron, but after it was removed, I saw its actually quite thin. Mine is already bent at places, and uncomfortably close to the intercooler!
Classic pictureclap: & pretty decent mileage - 8 kmpl with 4L & traffic jams is bloody good!

I'm more interested in knowing how many times you had to crank for her to start up? How many cranks does it normally take (Noida)?
I just had to crank her once, just like I do it in noida. Never needed multiple cranks. Not at Kalpa, nor at Manali.
Yesterday the temperature was around 8 degrees, and it was raining, she still fired up in a single crank. I just waited for the glow plug light to go off
Even the self duration was just slightly longer(I think so), but can't be sure of that.
However the clatter was enough to wake up entire Manali district. I thought only indica's can make such a racket

Actually, thats what I meant - the self duration, how many turns as compared to the daily routine. So, nothing major from what I understood.

Hardly noticeable, though I am told that when its around 1-2 degrees and altitude is above 3000 feet, it takes longer self.
Finally TSK, seems like you are on the right track with respect to the White Elephant / Horse.
And those are good mileage figures.
