Today, oops theoritically yesterday, my Safari has crossed running 50,000 km. It has been achieved exactly in 3 and half years, 5th October 2005 to 4th April, 2009.

So I thought it is indeed a good time to put the LTOR and hence created the spaceholder. Over he next days I will try to cover my experiences over this ownership tenure.

PS: Does the trip-meter show your mileage on the current tankful? If yes, 766 is quite incredible as it means you're about to do 800 on a tankful. I usually get slighly less than or just over 700 for the tankful.

Steer, I have filled in Rs 200/- Diesel (5.74 l) in between, as I could not go to my usual filling station. Also this time it came back from a highway trip - covering 630 km (out of that 766) from Kolhapur to Bangalore (travelogue @ http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...pule-back.html).

@Steer: To update on this, I had done a tankful yesterday, and it drank 61.87 l. So,

Distance covered: 778 km
Fuel taken: 5.74 + 61.87 = 67.61 l
Average = 11.51 kmpl

This is on normal diesel without any additive.

@all: My apologies for not able to update this thread as I would have wished, quite a few trips of late, keeping me busy. Will be out again for 7 days, and hopeful to update on return.
