And it had to happen someday

Got a dent and many scratches on right rear door and boot area. Since I don't like my car driving with scratches and dents, I gave the car next day for repair to Manipal Motors body shop on Airport Road. It took 4 days for the job. I claimed insurance. The total cost was around 8K.

The car is running like a dream. No issues with performance. Tata is holding up as per my expectations.

Was testing how fast it can go...

took it to 125+, after that traffic stopped it. It had some punch left in it. The stability was spot and so was the braking

Thanks greenhorn! That's a pretty photochop work... I had to look twice to figure out what has been chopped off

The car is doing amazingly well. No issues at all. In fact the pickup has increased for better, so much that in 2nd gear at times I have to break to get it back in control. It just takes off... as said earlier, real value for money.

Hi Ambujlal,
Great ownership report here for the Indigo CS. I was myself buying one, but I settled for IKon for the driveability of the car, though I so miss some of the basic features of the CS in Ikon, like the remote boot release and rear defogger, etc.
It's great to see that the car is holding up quite well and there are no problems at all with it.For such a price on road with a boot , its really a steal.

I am surprised to know that Ikon does not have a remote boot release. The other car that I know didn't have a remote boot release was Logan. I don't know whether they have added it to upgraded versions or not!

GPS Navigator

I added a GPS Navigator from MapMyIndia yesterday. Been testing it in Bangalore and I must say it is just awesome. With voice instructions it tells you precisely which road to take and how many meters ahead. Planning a trip to some place in Chennai tomorrow, where I have never been before. I would check which is better, reaching by asking people or relying on your GPS navigator.

Reason for buying:

I personally don't like stopping much and keep asking for directions. Also I thought it would be helpful for a person like me who is language challenged in this part of the country ... justifying my buy

Congratulations. Could you post a couple of snaps when you have the time?

It could goof up on one way streets, other than that it should work fine. I followed its instructions from Alleppey to Trichy - Thanjavur. Except for a one way street in Kottayam, it lead me properly.

GPS in Indigo CS

I did a trip to chennai with the help of GPS navigator of MapMyIndia, and boy it was extremely helpful. I did not have to stop and ask anywhere with anyone about directions, whether inside or outside city. It was just plain simple impressive. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a carefree drive!

Just for figures about the drive...

Did return journey from chennai to bangalore in flat 3.5 hrs (not including bangalore entry, just upto electronic city). Max speed attained 140Kmph, with one near death experience. Consistently drove at 110-120Kmph.

Total mileage for the round trip 16.78kmpl with AC 80% on.

Hey why do you keep GPS tilted towards left?

Does it make it easier to look-up turns/roads?

I started with keeping it in normal position, that is horizontal. But during mid day when sun is right above, and sunlight falls directly through windscreen, it becomes unreadable. Also, I found keeping it this way comfortable for myself. Personal preference!

System G

Just to update the thread, I have been using System G fuel additive for last 2 tank full of fuel. There has been a definite smoothness in the engine and pick up has gone a notch up. Also the latest mileage figure with system G use is 14.17 kmpl in Bangalore city traffic with AC 75% on.
