Fuel filter change is 15k or was? Did this change for newer ones?

And labour is supposed to be free right?

I am already in talk with Mr Grovar/Ankur regarding my charges issue at zonal office gurgaon. Let me see the outcome of it. I have asked them to proved a free check of my vehicle at any other service center than autolink.


As for above said info. How do i now verify that my old filter was of this serial No. or not. They have already changed it ?

JK,
My service book states clearly of change of Fuel Filter at every 15000 km service. Which means every 15k km, you are bound to have a minimum bill of 5k.

They have introduced a new service called STDCHK (Lubrication) which they claim to lubricate all electrical parts. They have charged Rs 325 for it. I have raised a complaint regarding the same. I am yet to receive the clarification from the service center side.

They should've returned the replaced part as it was paid for. But since yours is a 2009 model, you would have had the newer Fuel filter by default, the circular came in second half of 2008.

(I am getting the refund for fuel filter change @ 15k km.)

I followed the same with Zonal office as why my filter was changed at 15k km service, they check my record and told me to raise a complaint with the Service center regarding the same. I did, after a couple of followup, i got a call the GM of that service center that they will REFUND the cost of filter.

Also regarding unsatisfactory service - Washing and Vacuuming, I am getting a complimentary wash with choice of my service center.

Hence i feel, I case of the service not upto the mark my MD,TASS or TASC if you really go after them and show your displeasure, you will get result. All you need to be persistent with Zonal office and the service center.

Definitely looks better, Just a word of caution, the lock is resting on the alloy hub and will eat away the chrome over time as it will rock to the vibrations. Use a double sided tape and stick one side of it on the hub along the free movement of the lock above.

i too was planning do this. As of now as cello tape working.
Also was hunting for alternative locking solution too.

Buy a cycle cable lock with PVC tube and cross it over through the alloy and the holding frame on the door.

After my second service at 15k kms,
No major problems faced.

We did two trips

1. Delhi - Amritsar - Dharamshala - Mcleod ganj - Billing - Delhi - 1600 kms - 7 Days

2. Delhi - Mumbai - Mount Abu - Delhi - 3100 kms - 6 days.

getting a consistant average around 12 kms.
100% satisfied with the performance of my bull.

Hi Vinod,

Nice ownership experience with Safari and glad to see that you are enjoying your bull to the maximum.

I did see that you have clocked a good distance in the odo; what did you do to suppress the dashboard / door/ window glass vibrations that usually comed up after long drives? Or are you one of the lucky ones who do not have any 'in-cabin vibrations noise'?

Just curious and want to get rid of these in my Safari as well. They don'y bother me much; but was thinking if it can be better..

firstly i dont have much of the problem of in-cabin noise. I do had the rattle issue with driver seat and passenger window. Driver seat noise was correct during my first service and the passenger window rattle got corrected during the retro.

Rest all is fine with my beast. :thumbs up.

Needed to find a good wheel alignment guy , with some call to my circle came to know there is a good guy named (Sanjay) at Raj nagar IOC petrol pump who does wheel alignment and also a specialist in adjusting/increasing the turning radius. (Also a specialist for imported car too)

Me and ITmylife took our safaris. Huge rush , we had to wait around 1 hour before our turn came.

Got adjusted the turning radius,Tyre Rotation,Alignment,balancing, now its fantastic, U turn is a breeze. Earlier it used to be a pain, i had to do a U turn from middle lane , now i can do it easily from the right lane. :D
