I think I am pretty sure I know the exact cars mentioned in the original post. The Superb was not the regular 1.8TSI, but rather the 3.6 FSI 4x4. To its credit, it drives better than the regular Superb, albeit not as dynamic as the 530i. Compared to regular Superbs(1.8TSI and 2.0TDI), the 3.6 had a lowered&stiffened suspension along with larger brakes (both front and rear). Unlike the regular Superb, it also had paddle shifters.

I still see the same 530i listed for sale, not the Superb though. Hope ChocksOff is owning a pre-worshipped Superb 3.6 now
