Buying a Landcruiser?

Hello friends.....I confirmed at few places and people quoted 65 to 68 lakhs for a new landcruiser and what i believe...it dosent make sense spending so much(neither my pocket allow me to shell out that much ) so....I am planning to buy a second hand landcruiser (Not Landcruiser Prado)....can you help me in finding out few things

# How much a landcruiser say about 6 months - 1 year old will cost me.
# Any good source for buying second hand landcruiser (any dealer...shop)

I appreciate your help

I guess these sources will have the most potential:

1. Imported car dealers (There appear to be many in Delhi).
2. Classified ads (Especially in the Autocarindia and Times of India).
3. Authorised Toyota Dealerships?
4. Garages that specialise in imported cars.

Cant help too much with the price but I would advice you to check the paperwork thoroughly when buying a grey market import.

Are you fixed on the land cruiser. Have you considered the Mitsubishi Montero. It costs around 37Lakhs for a new one.
65-68Lakhs for a land cruiser you mean importing one? The one in india is the Landcruiser prado which i think costs 45Lakhs.

The only bit of information I would like to add is Do you think a 6 month to one year old landcuiser will loose a lot from its original price tag.

Do be careful when buying second hand SUVs. Most of them have been used/ abused overseas and imported with the odometer reworked. When any part goes bad the repair costs are extremely high. I feel that it is preferable to go in for a new vehicle especially when these are not sold in large numbers in India.

Even though you want the landcruiser...why not just go for a test drive of the pajero that is being sold in india.i know it isnt as good as the landcruiser but it sure is a BRAND NEW suv...for much much less.
