Hi,

I was thinking of doing a complete rewiring of the music system I have in my Swift VXi.

I have a SONY Xplod setup in my car.

Deck : CDX-GT350S
Front pair : Sony coax 3way 6"
Rear pair : Sony coax 4way 6"

The speakers are all in the dorrs in standard locations on the swift.
Sound is good for me and the I can never go beyond 60% of the max volume on my deck.
The reason why I went with sony was standardised prices.. pioneers varied in price randomly from dealer to dealer and te sony was available for a fixed price and there was clear transparency in terms of price and box packs as advertised on their site as well.
Also my dealer had sonys in stock and based on previous experiences with a kenwood blaupunkt system in my accent.. SONY it was.
I didnt go in for components in the front bcoz previously i had components in my accent front door from blaupunkt which cracked within 8 months of install, (driver front door).

I am pretty happy with the sound , but a few things worry me after going through the ICE Forums.
Wiring : Used stock wiring which was pretty decent in the swift, but am ready to spend more on quality wires.
I am not happy with door padding and vibrations due to the speakers.. infact I can hear 1/2 speaker screws rattling forever when I drive with the system turned off.

So I would like to go in for good padding and rewiring.
Any of you Know any ICE specialists in KOLKATA ?, do let me know.
Also I dont mind investing in a bass tube, JBL??? as I am pretty sure no one is gonna open up and do rewiring for nominal charges and I wouldnt mind a good bass tube/sub in the car.

Please suggest a good location for the bass tube without sacrificing on boot space.
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Budget for wiring/padding can be around 2 grand and bass tube quotes from more knowledgable people are wlcome.
Planning to do this next Saturday ie 23rd Sept 2006.

Cheers
AB

PS :Also how much would a stock K&N filter cost for the Swift?
