Looking for suggestions which brand of car jack to buy (electric operated by car cigarette lighter). If any leads, please share.

May I understand the need for an electric jack. if it is for scenarios wherein you need to replace tyres or fix punctures, then I found that lifting car using the jack which comes along with the car does not take much effort.

Is the Amazon basics jumper cable any good?

I have used them a couple of times and they do their job as intended.

Off topic post alert! Can anyone suggest a good towing hook? I am planning to buy and keep it in case needed especially on long trips.

Hi Team-BHP

I have a Fiat G Punto. I discovered that I had lost my car's jack a couple of years ago. A couple of times since then, I borrowed a jack from others to address tyre punctures. But, since I have not been driving around or running into any such situation, I did not have use for it. I know the importance of it and, I need to get one.

I checked it out on 99RPM.com it was listed as Rs.3000+ but, there are some cheaper deals on Amazon - Should I go with 99RPM?

Please advise.

Why not also consider an electric tyre inflator operated off the cigarette lighter, along with a new jack and jack spanner.

Agree. Its definitely something you would want to have in the boot all the time. I have had one, since the past 7 years. It was bought with the new car as part of accessories.

It has been a life saver several times. Once I had a leaking tyre take me all the way to Puri from Kolkata (500+ km) with occasional inflation with the item. It also saves times at the fuel stations where I see the long queues for 'air'

Hello Friends,

Just a suggestion, I am new to this forum and was interested to look upon thus particular thread. While doing so, i just realized that i will have to go on non-stop reading all the previos comments to come down to a list of must have items in my boot... and chances are i might have still missed a few things here or there.... can i suggest everyone to build upto the list rather, so that the last comment has all the consolidated list available as a ready reckoner for anyone who comes at the end :)

Not that i wasted time, i had some invaluable learning as i scrolled thru so many comments, however, will be more handy of a person has a ready reckoner and then they might still go thru all the comments as a knowledge enhancer.

Cheers:)
