guys, i wanna know more about the after market ECU mod chips ? Are they advisable specially once the car is out of the warranty period. What are the the kind of chips avail here and has anyone installed it in a palio ?

What r the improvements after installing this but at the ame time wat r the negatives of this ?

its a good (expensive) option to improve the power delivery, just put some caution on settings for the rev limiter coz thats where chances of engines reliability/failure can happen, so dont go too wild with them

I suggest buying a chip for your Palio from abroad. They would retial for anything between 300 - 500 Euro's or so.

Here's a link to one such company that sells chips for the 1.6 Palio. Gives about a 10-12 Hp rise. Not too much for the cost though. Would rather blueprint the engine and get a good set of headers which would give you the same increase or more at a cheaper price.
