About the road roller, these were used by PWD in darjeeling previously, as the slope were to steep and other road rollers cannot be used or transported.
Now they are replaced by ingresol rand, etc which has one set of rubber tyre.

CAX is old registration scheme of Karnataka I guess.

Remember the picture with a quad-exhaust OHC? Well, here's another one. I can only imagine the day that quad-exhaust pipes become a must-have accessory in India.

Floor mats? Check
Stereo system? Check
Sun film? Check
Seat covers? Check
Quad tail pipes? Check

Rusabh, That is not some fake add on. This car is very highly modded. It has a ported head with oversize pistons, An EDELBROCK CARB!! And a 4X2x$ Exhaust specially designed by Magnaflow. This car also has various Fibre Body Panels. And i am sure it can give most cars on this forum a run fo their money.

CAX is Bangalore dating back to 1984/5. If I'm not wrong, this corresponds to KA 04 today.

It was there in the Speedrun 2008 and It belongs to Anant of N1 and there is lots and lots of mods done to the car. I had once the opportunity to have a ride in the car and it is quite fast too.

I am sure its fast for an Amby, but are quad pipes really required for a 4 cylinder 1.8 engine?

No guys, That was the Padmini with the Conti turbo engine!! That is another car. This car is very fast too. Not that fast though. I think it clocked in the region of 17 seconds!!

17 secs is downright pedestrian. the car does not need quad exhausts for that kind of acceleration.it can join the wierd and whacky hall of fame. BTW- what time does a stock amby do a 100kmph in?

ripper, Considering the technology that this car has, which when compared to new cars is prehistoric, early 17s are very good. I dont think this is vierd by any means, and it sounds absolutely amazing!!
