You haven't said what car you own yet. There are some good workshops in anna nagar itself. I stay in koyambedu.

I own a 2001 red sfx lancer as my id suggests. Its a babe and looks more like a 2004/2005 model. I have posted the pics below for you. Sorry about the grains as i took it using my phone cam. Will post better pics once i get new footwear.

Please tell me where the good workshops in Annanagar are? I have tried a few out here but all are the same(bad). I just get frustrated with the quality of service, time delay etc..etc..

Also got the clutch replaced. Apparently the gear box oil was spilling all over the clutch and hence it was slipping. Clutch plates were therefore worn out. GB oil seal was replaced along with the oil. Brakes were also serviced.

Had gone to another garage over the weekend and they had tweeked my engine timing to 14 degrees. :Shockked: . Got the timing back to 8 degress and valve adjustments also were corrected.

Got this done in a garage called Top Gear (near ashoka pillar) located at Saidapet. Owner's name is Satish and he is very knowledgeable and meticulous in his work. Very transparent, honest and clean.

He also maintains a race esteem which runs on the Sriperambudur track. Was suggested by slipstream and i am glad i have a good mechanic very close to where i reside.

I do have the top gear number with me but just havent had the time to go there. Will check them out soon. Right now am in search of good rubber and alloys.

Any of you guys have any idea how much a 205/50r15'' yoko avs100 or avs sport will cost me. I checked it out in a place in chennai and he quoted rs.4200/tyre. I feel its a little too much for yokos. Again I might be wrong. What do you guys think?

I would recommend this person for tires, alloys, balancing, alignment, a/c service etc. Very transparent, honest and I'm sure he can give you a good deal on the yoko's you are looking for.
