In the Power horns thread, we've seen loads of horns never putting out their peak performance because of the placement. I know that the suitable location will vary from one car to another. And we've also seen horns going kaput because of heat, water, dirt etc.

Cars like Santro is having provision for dual horns. So for Santro, power horns fitment is not a big deal.

So, which is the Best & Safe location for Power Horns ? :confused:

And, what are the precautions to be taken ?

you know they are illegal ?

They aren't legal, but everyone has them cause it is kind of a necessity in India. Some of the stock horns are so weak, its dangerous to have only those on the highway.

Have had situations in my old M800, were trucks and buses wont even hear the stock horns.

Also, best location for placing these horns vary for different cars. Space in the engine bay is also an important factor in the case of some of the smaller cars.
