of course why not. especially since it has paddle shift and you can take it all the way to the redline.

My civic is A/T with paddles. After I shifted from stock Honda engine oil to Mobil One 5w50, I have been easily taking it to 6k RPM. Feels a lot easier to the redline with Mobil One as compared to stock E/O. Hell i've even touched 93 in 2nd with paddles. (Will never do it again), the a/c vents hd this weird burning smell for the next 10 mins.

The AT redlines pretty easily. You had a burning smell when u redlined in 2nd gear? surprising... I keep doing it on 1st or 2nd... I don't get it. Probably I don't keep redlining for a long time.

i noticed a bit of this smell too when i was redlining a civic and also in the nhc vtec. but i dont think its really a problem. and btw it can do more than 93.:D

Searched google for the typhoon intake. Saw some pretty impressive results for the sound on youtube. Has anybody installed this, because I seem to be leaning towards it? Any suggestion if this will give a CE light on the civic & who would be the best to get this installed from??

Cost and quality of work both matter, because I would be stretching my budget.

Or will you'll reco a catback instead??

Please advise!!

id say get a full free flow right from the headers.

anything between 9-11k though could be slightly more for a civic. speak to viper. hell be able to give you the exact price.

I have quiet often touched aroun 106/107 in second gear (this is around when the rev limiter kicks in). Never faced any kind of smell or anything. In fact the car loves to be revved all the way till the rev limiter, without any signs of strain.

Of course this is on MT, there might be transmission related constraints on AT, but reading international Civic forums I don;t think that would be true either. There are loads of people with extended limit on their Rev Limiter on an AT.

Ramie anna,

Both you guys need to buy new speedo's.

Viper

Does the limiter cut in at 7100? Seemed like that on the TD vehicle.
