Hey guys as you all know the 2.2 dicor comes with come home lights module,,which is very usefull,, i require help from anyone to guide me in sourcing the module,,installation etc. thanks

I think this is programmed into the ECU.

You taking about the follow me home or courtesy light or whatever its called?

Dont think it has anything to do with the ECU as Iv seen universal kits available online.

Me thinks someone with basic knowledge of electronics who can solder and recognise components would be able to do this as a DIY.

Google is your friend :)

Of course, the "follow me home" (aka "drain the battery") can be DIYed with a timer.

Use LED's to save battery ;)

You can get a delay timer and connect it to the headlights etc.Its the same thing used to delay the interior lights or provide a dimming light inside the vehicle's cabin when you unlock/lock your car.
the timer costs somewhere around 1000 bucks and should be easily available at any accessory shop,.

thanks guys,,require something that fits in without opening the original wiring, basically it should come on when the vehicle is locked.exactly how its mentioned in the dicor website.Monsoons are approaching and this module will be great help!

Hello there,
Well, I noticed that the newer teeny tiny features that come with expensive cars these days are not very hard to 'Copy into' our more smaller cars. Features like ABS, Traction Control etc may be a little hard due to the extensive hardware requirements. But, follow-me-home lights, a sort of 'pseudo' climate control, a single bulb rear lamp unit (indicator+brake+reverse all in one RGB LED). Well, you can list more, but can't think of many ATM.

I thought of first putting in a follow me home lights (FMH?) function to my Swift VXi, and for this I need a bit of help, from the wiring experts here.
There are two ways to do this,
1. Buy a cheap timer from an electronics store and preset a time and trigger the lamp from some point in the car (locks?, ignition system? etc.)
2. Program a simple micro-controller, set the time you want, use the same uC to add newer features at a later time.

Where I need help currently is, the FMH feature switches ON your headlamps/foggers when you lock the car. I'm looking for some sort of a trigger to tell my set-up when to 'activate' the lights.
Indicators are out since, every time I turn, the lamps are going to turn ON
Ignition is out since I want the light to start only after I lock the car.

So guys help me out if you see light here :Frustrati

Also, I'm trying to find the headlamp relay (not the fuse), which I'm sure exists, you can't expect steering stocks to handle high currents  , any help in that area would mean wealth.

So, HELP !!!

Hello friends. I have old gen i20 and want to retrofit follow me home light for the foglamps. Can the experts help me in sourcing the module?
Thanks in advance.
