Guys these are the options I am getting.
I would like to know your perspective on the following kits:

Car :: Suzuki Ritz LXI (Feb 2010, Delhi Registered)

Tesmon :: offered by MASS for 34K with Lambda and Advancer

BRC :: offered by MASS for 34K with Lambda and Advancer

Lovato :: offered by an approved installer for 24K with Lambda and Advancer

Tomasetto Achille

Landi Renzo

I have found out about one more company Best Prins Eco Tech, apparently this is the only kit on offer which has its own advancer, lambda.

Tomasetto has its own advancer , lamda & Lamda.
Lendi Renzo has its own advancer , lamda & Emulator.

I could not find the Tomasetto emulator anywhere .Lendi Renzo tottal kit is being fitted by Minda (Okhla ) for Hyundai. I would recommend Minda for the sheer quality of fitting and future service.

The issue is that for the Maruti Ritz Petrol only three kits are approved by the RTO i.e.:

1) Tesmon (Argentina) From MASS
2) BRC (Italian) From MASS
3) Lovato (Italian) From an approved independent installer.

Taking these into A/C which one would be the best ??

@maglev : As far as i know you can fit any kit and RTO will approve it .Talk to your local CNG wala,I am using Tomasetto Argentina in one cra done over a lac on CNG , and fitted Tomasetto Italy in other .

Thanks for the info I'll find out about this.

One question though, on which cars are you using CNG and how similar or different are these kits in terms of performance ??

As per a few independent installers and MASS only three kits have been approved for installation in the Ritz, i.e. BRC (Italy), Lovato (Italy) and Tesmon (Argentina)

So which one should I go ahead with? as I have never used any of these kits in the past. Have used Landi Renzo in my earlier cars & was satisfied with it:

1) MASS is offering only BRC & Tesmon (But my warranty on the car remains)

2) The approved independent installer is offering all three of them.

MAGLEV, I would suggest to go in for BRC. It's the one approved from Maruti Itself as OEM.

I called up Mr. Bhavesh at Apra Auto, Mahipalpur. This chap is responsible for CNG installations at the Maruti's authorised Apra Service Station.

To my surprise today he says that only Lambda will be of BRC or Tesmon but the TAP will be of some other brand only which apparently he is not aware of.

Its getting very very confusing, will search for more info and then post.

If anyone has any e-mail ID or contact information of BRC in India then kindly post.

All,

I would like to say that BRC kits are the best and have Widest range of accessories. I say that because I was a dealer for them for the central India, love the quality.

As for more info one can contact Rohan Automotive Equipments Private Limited. They are the main dealers for India.

^^ Contact Rohan and get the BRC sequential!

I got a CNG kit installed in my car since a month. The car is definitely running hotter than when using petrol and I've decided to move onto a more viscous oil of 20w50 from my current 20w40 MGO oil. HEre's my options:

1. Castrol GTX 20W50: the shop quoted Rs. 650 for a 3 litre can. It seems to be good mineral oil
2. Castrol Magnatec 20W50: I was quoted Rs. 1800 for 3 litres. This seems to be a good semi synthetic oil.
3. Mobil 1 5W50: Rs. 3000 for 3 litres. This seems to be top of the line and it's probably an overkill. It would increase my per km running cost by Rs. 0.30 since I change my oils every 10k kms.

Looking at the above, I'm planning to move to Castrol GTX.

What oil are you guys generally putting in your vehicles (which oils, change interval frequency, etc)? Let me know your thoughts..

Which filter for my Hyundai Accent CNG?? Panel filter from K&N or BMC or something else?

You will need to get CNG kit retuned if you change the stock filter .

Help:

BMC cold air intake as claimed by so called self proclaimed tuner is messing with sequential CNG kit (missing between 1.5k - 2.5k rpms). Crankshaft advancer is installed. I've asked the tuner to remove the kit as bumper to bumper driveability was horrible.

Please advice. Kit is from Autogas italy.
