Any Idea abt the non-mechanical A/C's/Thermal Air-Conditioners?

This should help people who feel underpowered while A/C's is switched on (Including me !). I have no idea about the flipside of the same. Expert suggestions are welcome.

It does help people who are fuel conscious with A/C switched ON.

This is may be considered an investment with Better ROI.

By Non-mechanical ,do you mean Thermo-electric? This is the way those car-fridges work. It operates on electricity, which has to be fed by the alternator, and you might have to fix a bigger/higher Current Alternator which in turn will put more load on the engine, making it sluggish/reducing FE. There you are back to square one. :D

PS: I'm also no expert, just exercising my capabilities on Fault-Finding . :P

Im pretty much sure that, this alternate method will take more investment and cost of operation which will be more than the FE loss we make by using the conventional AC systems in car. But having said this it may work profitable in Van / Buses which consume more fuel as well as if you plan to operate AC when the vehicle is switched off (Such as overnight stay in Car) :)

Unless you can make this to work on solar power

This is a 12 Volt A/C (24A) does not require any upgrade in your alternator as far as i know.

How about this one?
