Philips HID conversion kits are available in reliance autozone. I happen to see them in the Reliance mall at Arekere. There are 2 packets (Ballast and Bulbs). The selling price was close to 9k for H4.
It was made in China, and the manual has less details published in English..!!
Thanks
Rajesh

Its because the whole kit is made in China. The first Philips conversion kit was made in South Korea and it had a different ballast and lamp design and was more expensive. Then Philips discontinued the Korea kit and started making them in China. You get two types of kits with the Philips name. One is Philips Patent and the other is Philips. Both these kits are made by the same philips approved manufacturer. Patent licence kits are cheaper.

I am running Philips 6000K(H4) HIDs in my swift. They offer a 6 months warranty on the bulbs. I got it fitted from Glix in Kolkata, and cost me 8K for it.
Sorry to raise this old thread back from the dead again, but I've been doing some research on HID kits lately and am a little confused.
I found this kit on ebay:

This sounds genuine but is the price ok?
Also, I know, just like household tubelights, HIDs can fail. The question is, what is the likelyhood of them failing? Has anyone on the forum experienced failure of their HID bulbs? I wouldn't want to be stranded on an empty road at night because of this.
