I had planned to change the clutch kits on my 55K run corolla. Corolla comes with Luk clutch and after pondering about various after market options available, I decided to stick with Luk. Changed it about 20 days ago along with clutch oil/gear oil (common) and engine oil to sythetic.

Did two rounds to Pune, covered the distance in about 2 hours each way, needless to say, the car is gliding :)

Below are some pics of old and new clutchkit

Luk does make some high-quality clutch components. My C220 is running the same brand (import from UK). How come you wore the original clutch so early though?

Exactly. 55K for a clutch is certainly early. And what was the cost of the whole job ?

As the others pointed out it is too early, or someone has learnt driving on that Corolla and was driving half clutch.

Is this a typo coz there will be many people asking various things you have under the hood and going green with envy. BLR - PUN 2 hours.

The car was driven by the driver earlier, who I guess learnt driving on the Corolla...

The 2 Hrs each way to Pune was from Mumbai; its misleading since my profile says I'm in bangalore. Will add Mumbai to the location.

Luk clutch kit for Corolla costed me 4K, labour was 1.5K, the usuals for the oils
