I would like to know if anyone can make me the end piping for dual exhausts so that I can bolt on.

A little off-topic, How did you manage to get the GTI body kit fitted onto a type 2 swift? i have heard the bolt patterns dont match.

As for dual piping, you need to get a custom made or one you can ask the velding guy to make you a V pattern pipe so that you can make both the exhust working. But that might cause some drop in performance.

My friend in calcutta swapped his 1.3 litre engine and got the 1.6 ltr 125 bhp engine and got it turbocharged with a sports clutch.
last time i.e a week back when i spoke to him he told me that his car was close to 170 bhp.
thats some major power to weight ratio going there.:Shockked:

maybe one of u guys shud try that.
He also put a partial roll cage on the inside so that the chassis does not bend on the power.clap:

@ Arjun - can you get some more details on the car? Pics may be!! :)

slightly OT - is there a MS bodykit. i saw couple of swifts with similar kits in Kolkata?

Surely will ask him for a few pics.

@Arjun - the kolkata members would love to get to know him and the tc'd swift better!
is your friend on team-bhp?

hey guys i am in bangalore for some work and i happened to spot a silver swift on hosur road yesterday evening with the hikari kit someone mentioned in this thread some time ago. i was travelling in a rickshaw so i couldnt see the car from front or take any photos either, but from what i saw the kit looked really nice. anybody in bangalore got any pictures or details?

Definitely, but the thing is he is a 52 yr old petrol head.He actually is my dads friend .Most of the time he is in Darjeeling looking after his tea estates.Anyways will try to get in touch with him and persuade him to send some pictures.
When he came to chennai last time he was teling me abt his swift.

There will be a power loss when you will fit a dual exhaust in the 1.3L
The exhaust guy had also told me that I would be having a power loss in my car where I have a 1.6L engine

hey this is an example of the kind of swift i saw in bangalore on hosur road on my way towards brigade road.

Please give more details about this car.
I have also got similar specs on my Swift except for the Turbo. Want to know how he is managing to hold on so much power???

yes I have swapped mine for a bigger one. Would start a thread soon after work is completed on it.
You could get us any detail about that project as it would be great to know as to what he has done. Just wanted to know mainly as to how is the feel in the Swift with so much power and how does it handle:thumbs up

Hey guys i came across this article in the news paper swift night life rally happening in Bangalore below is the link of the article.

Swift night lift rally

I am sure lots of bhpians will be participating in this
Any one knows where this is happening?

@arjun-any kind of information or pics are awaited
@l_tejash-if you have started your thread can i have the link to it.

Hey guys.
I had a small(okay maybe not small :P ) query.
I am gonna work on my swift when i go back to india this time.
I am thinking of removing it's cat back (this will reduce the back-pressure) there by improving performance.
Now will this lead to smoke ( the gray smog types ) coming out of my exhaust ? Also will this increase any noise and make my exhaust notes better ?
I plan to hammer a pipe through the cat bak so it is still physically present but of course does not perform it's role.
I am also getting a free flow performance muffler for the car which i will put once i remove the cat bak.
Will this entire setup lead to better sound and exhaust notes or will a change of headers and larger diameter pipes(which will in turn make it a complete free flow system) be required ?
Thanks in advance.
