Hi Guys........my Getz is going for 1st service after a week.what can i expect from workshop?


And any idea whats the price of fog lamps and spoiler for Getz ?

Hi,

The fog lights will cost you 2200 and the spoiler 1850 unpainted. If you want it from the company it will cost 4500 and 8500 respectively.

ok viper, so is it worth to go for the company stuff? I have a santro, and I want the fog lamps . I enquired with acc. guys and they quoted 1500 to 3500, while company was for 3500. Which would be better in terms use not looks. I have seen company ones (XG model) and their light is just splendid. And I think the 3.5k ones are lumar.

Honestly I am yet finding a good fog light for my own car. Have tried 3 different ones including the OE, problem is all of them are spread beams where the light falls aprox 5 ft in front of the car only and not spot lights which I am looking for. You will have to take a call.

As fas as buying the same thing the company is offering buy it from a reputed shop outside you will save big bucks.

My personal opinion is to go with the OE ones.
JK-You are right the OE ones are Lumar.I had fitted them in my earlier XG and they were realy fine.Moreover,the OE ones are fitted by plug and play sockets and no chopping of the wirings is needed.Moreover,the fuses also are separated for the fogs.I feel its worth paying the extra bucks for OE ones.

Your car manual would somewhere have list of things that are expected to be taken care of during first servicing. Ask them to take care of niggling rattles or noises that start creeping in due to bad roads.
