i just changed bulbs on my NHC from the stock yellow to 90/100 white Philips & there is definite improvement. i was charged Rs 650/- inclusive of fitting.

650 for only bulbs or along with a relay? If its with relay its too damn cheap. As the bulbs themselves cost more than what you mentioned. And for 90/100 you need a relay.

that means they didnt let it through. youll probably have to pay a bit. next time make sure that they mark the item as gift and write the value as some small number.

the easiest would be to call up the courier and give them your tracking number. theyll tell you where to pick it up.

The guy who fixed it said relay wont be required.

It IS required. I have enquired many places before I upgraded to 100/90 and everyone said relay is required. Even in this thread, you'll find experts saying it is necessary.

It IS necessary. The stock bulb holders (& reflector) will melt otherwise.

It supports US dollars, pounds, euros etc. but the statement given there confuses me. It says "$20 per pair", but when I selected 1 item it showed me 40 dollars.

The price for a pair is GBP 20.50 or USD 40.00. The choice of currency is yours. Well you might want to study the forex market to see buying in which currency would get you a better deal. I mean you might want to study which currency is likely to move wrt to INR in your favor. :D

Think $40 for a pair is too costly, getting 100/90 bulb with relay and fixing comes less than 1500.
