I can also vouch for that tm80 is more bassy but not so loud as say the Bosch Symphony, But Hella i found them to be louder than TM80 but does not sound like Symphony horns, but i am not able to find these Bosch I had fixed them on my zen and they were perfect in terms of loudness & bassiness (if there is such a word) :D

That sounds like another side-by-side horn testing on the list!lol:

Will get the BOSCH Symphony and see how that par's with the other two. Will update once the horns are in order.

Also to add that whatever said and done, none of these horns come even faintly close to how LOUD the Nautilus sounds. They are 'ear bleeding' loud!!

Bringing Nautilus into the picture is like comparing apples to oranges :D, where did you source the Bosch Symphony, i am not able to find the original ones anywhere.

True that!

I have not bought them yet but I'm sure I can get my hands on them easily.

Once I have more information on availability, price etc. I will let you know as well.

Question: Has anyone changed the OE horn on their Etios?

Hey guys,

Sorry if this is off topic, but has anyone tried fixing a Roots Windtone (or any other Skoda-ish sounding horn) on a motorcycle? I have a Pulsar 220 in which the horn kinda fades after sometime. I wish to change to the Skoda type but fearing that it might drain the battery. Is there a smaller size of the Windtones available? Suggestions welcome.

Yeah, i had Bosch Symphony on my ZMA when i had the bike, it was hidden inside the front cowl. No battery drain as long as there is a proper relay in the setup.

Horn on my scorpio has gone kaput within 1 yr, which would be better replacement .

Bosch Europa - Rs.1600
Roots Vibrosonic - rs.1300
Hella Red grill - Rs.1350

I had Stebel TM80 on my Unicorn, which were replaced by Hella RedGrill - there was no battery drain. Go ahead, change them and use them responsibly :)

I remember fitting these Windtone horns on my Kawasaki Bajaj KB100 (yes KB 100!!) and it didn't fry the battery even in those days :uncontrol

I have no experience with the Bosch, however out of the other two listed options, my pick would be the red grills simply because their sound is shriller though the Roots Vibrosonic may be louder in terms of decibels. And I have felt that a slightly shrill/piercing sound is what gets the job done on occasions demanding the use of horns such as these.

Hope that helps.

got Hella Red Grills installed , sweet sounding Horns neither very harsh nor meek just the right kind for my scorpio, even the car accs guy was advising to install Hella's compared to Bosch / Roots .

Came with 6 months warranty and relay ,paid rs.1200 inclusive of installation.

^^ Congrats mate, & you got a fair price for the Red Grills. Use them wisely :thumbs up

Rather than windtone i would suggest you to try out the Bosch grey(sorry dont know the exact name).Am using them right now along with a 55w HID in my 220 for the last 6months.Touch wood no issues till now.

Can anyone tell me if this Bosch Symphony horn is still available in the market, not able to find it.

Also i am facing a peculiar problem, i have fixed the Stebel TM80 horns just behind the front grills but the sound its giving it out quite low, since the Manza comes with factory dual horns there was no extra cut out fixed.
