Hi guys , any tyre for zen and wagon R on R13 rims having maximum resistance to punctures? I have learnt that tyres from Indian makers like MRF have a hard compound hence less grippy but on the positive side fewer punctures. My driving is urban and semi rural roads. So what is the best inbetween solution?? Thanks in advance.

This is my first post here since I became a member a couple of days ago! Feels great to be part of a community that has helped me on so many occasions in the past!

I'm upgrading to a Corolla Altis, and desperately want to upsize on the stock rims, which are 195/65R15. After loads of R&D, have zeroed in on the following guiding principles:

1. Max rim upsize by 2 inches
2. Max tread upsize by 20mm
3. Max diameter variation +/- 2.5%

Considering all this, have narrowed it down to either:

215/45R17 (diameter smaller by 9mm/1.5%) or,
215/50R17 (bigger by 12mm/2%)

Basically want the wheel wells to look as full as possible. My biggest nightmare is to drive into a pothole and have the tyre hit the inside of the wheel arch!

Would really appreciate any points of view / advice / sharing of past experience etc on this!

So the stock Apollo hawkz on my 2009 tavera used to make screeching noise when taking turns in 50kmph. So went to this store that my friend recommended. I was really keen on some Michelin. But unfortunately the only soft tyre that they had was of Kumho, a name which I have seldom heard of. Eyes closed, bought a set. I was worried at first because it was a bit cheap. but thankfully it performs brilliantly, and I can now drive with more confidence.

Just changed the tyres on my Optra Magnum LS Diesel, replaced the Michelin Pilot Precedas 205/50/15 with the Primacy LC 195/60/15. As mentioned earlier by many members, the Primacy is a super quiet tyre and I am just loving it.

Thinking of upgrading from 195/65/R15 to 205/65/R15 since the guy said while 225/55/R16 size is available, the tread would be simple & 16 Rims dont have much choice. Also the difference between both these upgrades are 20,000 which is not worth it (nor do i have the vitimin M for it)

He has offered to upgrade tires from 195/65/R15 to 205/65/R15 at a good rate (considering exchanging my new tyres) but i am confused with the options (not much difference in cost). Even if i get goodyear tyres, i get to upgrade them to slightly bigger tyres and better brand at a reasonable cost.

Michelin / Continental / Pirelli / Yokohoma / Bridgestone GR60

What do you guys think I should choose? my requirement is as below. This will be driven inside the city only and no highway driving.
1) Improve Grip (no ABS on this version)
2) Improve Ride quality (Ecosport ride is little stiff)

So which among these tyres are best suited to my requirement? hope some tyre guru helps me out here
