Re: New Discover 125ST Launched

Purchased bike on 25th August.
Here is the update after more than 1 month and 1st service completion:

Mileage: City - approx 58 kmpl, Highway - approx 63kmpl

Mainly driven below 50kmph in city.
Max speed touched so far is 75kmph
Total Kms: 1200

Pretty happy with mileage and i hope it improves with time.
Only grouse is that vibration increases after 50kmph, may be the bike is new so gears have yet to set in.

Vibration above 50+ speed is not good in a new generation 5 gear bike, get it noticed at the time of service.

Please provide the service details (If possible attach scan image of bill).

Sorry couldn't find the bill. It was approx 450 for oil change and chain greasing. I guess oil was approx 38o. Also did coating from waxoyl which was for 500 inr.

Shouldn't it be below the disc to protect from stones.
Stones don't do much harm, it is mud which it needs itself to be protected against.

While braking if the bike is ridden through slush, it gets into the disc pads shortening the brake pad life.

Petals help in cooling the plate better as air channeling is aided. The reason why Kawasaki has adopted it.

Why others haven't adopted if it is better? Well...The benefit isn't huge but is there. Else we would be seeing it all across. Lets say it looks cool and serves the purpose as well

As per periodic maintenance chart, there should be replacement of oil filter and cleaning of oil strainer at first service.

Re: New Discover 125ST Launched

If a report from Motoroids is to be believed, Bajaj has stopped production of the Discover 125ST owing to poor sales. Please click here for the relevant source.

Yes the production has stopped indeed, but for India only. Exports will continue.
